LAN Airlines affiliates – LAN Chile, LAN Peru, and LAN Ecuador – will co-locate in Terminal 8 with American at New York JFK, making LAN the fourth oneworld carrier, besides American, to operate from the terminal, significantly improving convenience for customers.

In November 2011, American increased its cooperation with LAN after receiving approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin a codeshare agreement with LAN Ecuador.

The co-location will provide closer proximity to check in, go through immigration, utilize the oneworld transfer center, or access American's and LAN's gates.

The move also allows LAN customers easier access to American's lounges – the recently expanded Admirals Club in Concourse C and an Admirals Club and Flagship Lounge in Concourse B. Each provides personalized service and state of the art amenities to customers before, after or between flights.

The Admirals Club lounges and Flagship Lounge offer a business center with private space carrels and work counters. Customers eligible for the Flagship Lounge can enjoy a complimentary lounge buffet, as well as complimentary premium liquors, regional wines and champagnes.

American and LAN are continuing to find additional ways to strengthen their partnership.
