Eight new tours and two destinations have been added to Discovery Adventures¡¯ 2012 line-up. The new trips to Vietnam, Ecuador, Jordan and Nepal, as well as ¡°revamped¡± itineraries to Tanzania and Southern Africa, range from eight to 16 days and allow travelers to ¡°pack their curiosity¡± with expert guides, comfortable accommodation and other inclusions such as a daily breakfast. The brainchild of adventure-travel company G Adventures and the company responsible for the Discovery Channel, Discovery Adventures aims to, with these new tours, offer travelers ¡°the chance to come face-to-face with the world¡¯s great cultures, destinations and natural habitats¡±, Discovery Channel Licensing vice president Elizabeth Bakacs said. ¡°Part of what makes Discovery Adventures trips so memorable are the immersive experiences and activities we include on all of our itineraries,¡± Discovery Channel Global Sales vice president John Warner added. The company has also introduced language lessons on many of their tours to encourage interaction between locals and travelers and have also partnered with non-profit Planeterra Foundation, offering ¡°travelers even more opportunities to connect with, and positively impact, communities around the world¡±.
